Professors teaching higher education subjects are required in these colleges as Nigeria has a very high population of young students. Other institutions that provide education are the University of lagos which is located in the most populous city in Nigeria and the University of Nigeria in Nsukka. The famous institutions in Nigeria are the Ahmadu Bello University established in the year 1962 and the Obafemi Awolowo University in Ife. Though the literacy rate is not very high and is about 50%.
So, the Government is making efforts to provide free education to all young children. In the year 1976, Education was made free at the primary level. But now that institutions are coming up, there are many job options for people in the Education sector also. Generally, for specialization courses, the students used to travel abroad for higher studies.
Since, Nigeria is a developing country, there are many Medical, engineering, Management and Arts colleges coming up. Also teachers for specialization courses colleges are needed. In the Nigerian capital of Abuja and the cities of Lagos and Sokota, there are many schools coming up which offer jobs in teaching. Teachers are also required for teaching subjects related to Science like botany, zoology, biology, physics and chemistry.
English and English literature are also commonly taught. In schools and colleges, teachers are required to teach subjects like history and Geography.Due to awareness in the educational sector
